Take-Two announced a few hours ago to its investors that the launch of Grand Theft Auto V is expected in spring 2013 with regard to the formats PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. At this stage it does not refer to the PC version, as happened with GTA IV, may therefore be issued at a later date than the console counterparts.
"Grand Theft Auto V will be built on all the elements that we have learned about game design game worlds open," said Sam Houser, co-founder of Rockstar Games. "We are eager to share all the details on the new GTA with our fans."
Take-Two confirms that GTA V is the most ambitious in the series. "Set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and surrounding areas, Grand Theft Auto V offers a world of unprecedented scale, as well as bursting with life, from the tops of mountains to the depths of the sea," it said in a press release from Rockstar.
The company has postponed briefing because of financial troubles caused by Hurricane Sandy, who was shot down in the day today on the East Coast of the United States.
